How to Schedule Posts on Facebook

I am a big fan of scheduling my posts on Facebook – directly from Facebook. If you value time-saving social media strategies then you will find this information very useful. Let me walk you through step-by-step.

First you will need to log into your Facebook business page. You can’t schedule Facebook posts from your personal page – only your business page.

Step 1: Write a post!

Create your Facebook post as you normally would. Add an image or a video.

Step 2: Click on the white arrow in the post button

Once you have written your post click on the white arrow that is right next to the post button. It will bring up the option to schedule your post.

Step 3: Schedule Your Facebook Post

When you click on the arrow a list of options come up. Click on schedule.

Step 4: Choose the date and time you want your post to go live.

A calendar comes up with the option to choose a date and time – this will allow you to schedule when you want your post to go live. Then click on “schedule” on the bottom right hand corner of the box.

Scheduling posts on Facebook is really easy to do and it is a real time-saver. In fact, I prefer to do it directly from my page instead of logging into a social media management tool.

I still use HeyOrca for Twitter and for Facebook – but mainly for clients so I can see all their planned posts at once. HeyOrca allows you to invite clients to see your planned posts which I find really beneficial.

Planning and scheduling your social media posts makes sense – it saves you time, you can take a break from posting every day and it is a great way to remain engaged with your customers and clients (and potential customers and clients!)

  • Great detailed post on how to posts on facebook manually. Though, I’m using Mass Planner to automate all of my schedule post and it’s a time saver. Thanks for a great post though.

I’d love to hear from you. Please leave a comment below.
